Amazing light-flooded stairwell onboard the lovely sailing yacht Panthalassa, is elegant, innovative and compelling, like the rest of this yacht.

The sailing yacht Panthalassa has an unique interior by the renowned London-based architect Sir Norman Foster. He is probably most famous for his building of the stunning Shard, as it is known in London. A striking and controversial building from whose architect one would not expect to see a tame and usual interior. It is no surprise then that Panthalassa hold so many interesting quirks and unusual features. The whole idea of yacht interiors was seen in a totally new light by the architect; and it shows.

The use of space is  so very interesting with the stairwell very much in the heart of the yacht and semi-circular spaces around that. A small reading area is found tucked away behind the stairwell of the salon, affording a comfortable area of seclusion so needed in such as space when the full complement of guests are onboard. A bar is placed on the side of the stairwell too and the dining area is semi circular with doors which can complete the circle and create another space altogether. This is flexible in use as it can either be used for meetings or as an onboard cinema.

The cabins have the most remarkable seating/lounging/desk area formed from one continuous line of leather along the bulkhead. Both elegant and useful this also exhibits the attention to given in the design of this interior to space saving with elegance.

The result is that this is a completely captivating  charter yacht with some wonderful, different and compelling details without being at all formal but very stylish. Truly remarkable.

A wonderful charter yacht, with a great crew, full of innovative design just waiting to be discovered by guests.
